FAQs

Do you offer a consultation before starting therapy?

1

Yes. I offer a complimentary 15–20 minute consultation to discuss what you’re looking for and see if we’re a good fit.

2

Do you offer in-person or virtual therapy?

I currently offer telehealth throughout California, with limited in-person availability in San Francisco coming soon.

Most clients begin with weekly sessions so we have consistency and momentum. Depending on your needs and goals, we can discuss whether a different frequency makes sense over time.

3

How often will we meet?

How long does therapy last?

4

There is no set timeline. Some people come to therapy to work on a specific concern, while others find longer-term work helpful. We’ll regularly check in about your goals and whether therapy continues to feel useful.

What happens after I submit the contact form?

5

I’ll reach out within 1–2 business days to learn a little more about what you’re looking for and discuss next steps. If we seem like a good fit, we can schedule a consultation or initial session.

What if I’m not sure which service is right for me?

6

That’s completely okay. You don’t need to know before reaching out. We can talk briefly about what’s happening and whether individual therapy, couples therapy, or parent consultation would be the best place to start.

Can I use insurance?

7

I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company if your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits. I recommend contacting your insurer directly to ask about reimbursement for outpatient psychotherapy.
